Maps are good, that's what I use now but I find it can be a pain to follow them and keep stopping,I'll keep investigating... |

Greetings again, You have to look through the little holes that the rain makes I sometimes use a free sat nav app called 'here' on my Android phone, it works really well but does have limitations due to screen size and light. Check out; https://here.com/en/products-services/c ... e-wego-app TTFN Hugh. |

on the i phone I use os map finder, areas (several maps worth) cost about a tenner. app is free. others rave about view ranger. I believe map tiles/areas on both are comparable. You can upload gpx files and also track and save your routes. Down side, unless its on a holder, exposed to the elements, and plugged in, it will zap the battery as most gps apps do. (the garmin will do 10 hours if you don't have the back light on constantly) I phone would manage about 4 from fully charged. if its in your pocket itll still need getting out (like you would do with a map) everytime you want to check your course. and unlike maps that's gonna mean, gloves off. |
