Just a feeble attempt to suggest the north does not win.

In TRF speak the north ends at the Scottish boarder, so if it is in Scotland it can't be in the north.

When will these people in the south get over their inferiority complex.

The south has so many endearing qualities but as it is now so small I can only think of the ferry to France. Nearly forgot plus David.

Kielder forest drive (north northern region) is slightly shorter at 12 miles

Is this a really a green road?

I just wanted to check before the TRF were brought into disrepute by proposing a metalled section of private toll road that happened to run through a forest.

If the M 6 Toll is a Motorway, then the forest drives are green roads.

Having ridden on both I can assure you that from the user perspective the M 6 Toll is very much a motorway just as the forest drive is very much a green road.

Disrepute? - No, look at what a diverse range of the public enjoy motoring on green roads: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractio ... rk_Sc.html

Aaaaah, thank you Pete.
The north starts at Tunbridge Wells, as I have long maintained :D

My wife and I will be heading near the arctic in June as we've booked a cottage out in the sticks just east of Penrith. No bike riding, sadly.
