Had some TCX desert Gore-Tex boots i think they were around the £200 mark and they've been a bloody god send.. Great all rounders!

W2 ... boots/1981 You may be able to get them for £150.
They have been very good at the waterproof bit - even during the recent heavy rain and deep water.
I also wore them on my India trip and were all day comfortable, even in 30C temperatures but they are warm in winter. No need for Sealskinz socks.

I had the W2 boots. They were waterproof and comfy.

However after 2 years of greenlaning they are shot! They leak, the top of the boot has buckled inwards where you gear shift and both soles have holes in from the footpegs.

Now treated myself to a pair of Sidi Adventure, hope they last a bit longer.

I guess you ride a lot more than me Peter.
Actually, most people on here ride more than me

To be fair, W2 do say they may not last long on spikey pegs.

I love the comfort though.

Alpine Scouts !!!!!
4 years on these boots still impress in a subtle comfortable waterproof way .
An excellent touring boot , hopefully I will last longer than the boots !!!

FWIW, I've found a couple of sites that seem to be particularly good value for boots, if folks haven't seen them already...
