NOTICE BOARDSUSSEX GROUP AGMThursday 26th November 2009. Ashington Socail Club, Ashington, West Sussex. 8.00pm prompt Contact Julian Flack 01306 640586 october 2009 Hertfordshire RoW Department go Digital Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways Climb on to the Web
This week sees a digital mapping version of all the Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways in Hertfordshire hit the Hertsdirect website. www.hertsdirect.org/maps/ (Link to main web maps page) http://www.hertsdirect.org/envroads/environment/countryside/walkingandriding/row/ (Link to specific Rights of Way web map page)
With this information now more widely available to the public, it will be easier to plan walks and rides throughout Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire’s district & borough council planning officers will be able to have desktop access to the up-to-date Rights of Way mapping. It is anticipated that, from an environmental point of view, there will be a subsequent reduction in the number of requests for paper copies and extracts. It should also increase awareness that the Land Charges Section is the place to go for legal property searches.
