Is it designed and built in Britain?

From their web site:

Designed and built in the UK, the 2013 CCM GP450 Adventure bike brings together innovative technology, top quality components and years of motor industry experience. With a lightweight Bond-Lite frame of 130kg, long range fuel tank, a durable 30KW engine and true off-road handling, the GP450 allows you to expand your adventure and achieve the ability to truly tackle both off-road and on road terrain.

Nice, I like to buy british when I can.
Maybe when I move on from the crf250l, this could be a contender.

On second thoughts- what it that tank at the bottom of the engine? Looks susceptible to rocks, logs, small animals (just kidding)

I love the BMW bikes and with the ccm using the 450 engine from BMW 450 x this will no doubt be a nice bike I think, I have my doubts about the service intervals, 6000 miles no way, the same engine from BMW was serviced 1500-2000 max, the problem I have is the company it's self, contacting the company to buy one they couldn't be bothered to return my emails so I bought the husky 650 terra there loss, maybe somewhere down the line they will get there act together and respond to potential customers, that's one sale they have lost how many can they afford to lose.

The bike is a nice bit of kit one of the chaps we ride with has his order in and they loaned him one for a Lakes run a few weeks back. By all accounts everone was very impressed with it. Run well on the road run well on the lanes. Adventure bike rider did a 750 mile road test on it in 3 days and the only major thing they found to moan about was the side stand.

I agree about the servicing and that seems to be the biggest question that only time will tell. But CCM have detuned the motor to account for it. Plenty of other manufacturers and automotive companies have done similar with motors so the theory is sound. If you put the motor back to stock tune it does put the servicing back to enduro mode. But the new tuning from what I've been told by those that havr ridden it seems spot on for a bit of everything.

There was one on display just round the corner from the TRF stand at the Manchester Bike Show over the weekend
