I may have got the wrong end of the stick. I didn't mean that these organisations should necessarily train riders on trails to still be able to work with the TRF & to lend weight to the political mire we find ourselves in. A well known name can carry a useful bit of persuasion, in some cases. They would obviously be helpul to trail riders going on their courses, as already described. I'd love to go on one & my 50th is in just under 5 years. I might treat myself.

Given where you live, if I was you I'd contact Andy or Jim at Wheeldon Farm Off Road Centre, just a few miles off the A38 south of South Brent.

Andy and Jim both lead trail bike rides as part of one of their riding school courses - a great way to spend your birthday (I've been a couple of times, with my wife and son (both riders as well) - fantastic !!!!!

I went on a training day a couple of years ago with i2i training in North Yorkshire it was organised by one of the Manchester members
It was a great day and they tailored the day towards skills needed on trails rather than racing

Yep the WYTRF (Richard Hirst) organised a day with Tom at I2I in north yorks and everyone enjoyed the day and came away with some good new skills and confidence.
Just simple things of Tom examining that a bike is basically two gyroscopes and is perfectly stable whilst moving, it's the rider that make sit unstable. Remember as a kid jumping off your bike and watching how far it went without you on, now remember that when it gets a bit twitchy or hairy and just relax your grip and let the bike sort it's self out and then carry on. I would defiantly recommend training to most riders, you find the simplest of explanations makes you look at things from a whole different perspective and improves your riding dramatically.

Just been on two days riding with black desert training in wales. First day was training second day was a days trail riding using the skills you learnt the day before with pointers and tips on how to improve. All was on byways or forestry land they have permission to use. All there lone bikes had trf stickers on them so they might already be active and they are against commercialisation.

Going back next year for there 6 day coast to coast tour of wales should be good

Hi,

My name is Clive Rumbold and I am a TRF member based in Scotland. It is very hard to get access to off road tracks legally in Scotland but we strongly support people having the ability to ride off road.

As such, in June 2013, my wife and I opened Scotland's first and only off road motorbike training centre to ensure there was a choice for people wanting to enjoy off roading in Scotland. Please see www.motoscotland.com

We have exclusive access to a stunning 50,000 acre estate which offers a fantastic variety of tracks and trails, descents, climbs, water crossings, etc..

Please have a look at our YouTube short film which will give you an idea of what you might see/experience - http://youtu.be/Vezs1e7-gPc

We supply the latest off road motorbikes, safety kit/clothing, lunch and refreshments, fuel, ACU instructors, etc..

Please do not hesitate to get in touch on either: -

E: enquiries@motoscotland.com

Thanks,

Clive

Let me know

1. any you would like included
2. any additional information
3. any offers from yourself as a responsible TRF member to formally review a business

before I develop into a web page

Ideally by email to Mario@trf.org.uk

Mario.
Have you forgotten or excluded http://www.trailrides-wales.com/ which is rum by Mid Wales ROW officer Marianne and her husband. I posted the link earlier in the thread.

Geraint Jones offroad school Yamaha http://www.yamaha-offroad-experience.co.uk/about.htm is also not on the list.

Good spot and this V3 is the document I meant to post - I was a little quick for my Dropbox to sync which included your suggestions

No-one is excluded (even non TRF supporters will be reviewed fairly)

However TRF friends will be made more prominent and will hopefully rate higher on CoC especially I hope Marianne's business !!

Again let me know

1. any you would like included
2. any additional information
3. any offers from any responsible TRF member who feels qualified to formally review a training provider ( a framework with assessment criteria will be provided)

before I develop into a web page

Ideally by email to Mario@trf.org.uk
