Ok having cut a 2 min clip of Slivericks last night it got to 100% on You tube upload only to be told fail!! grrrr.

Will try again tonight.

Dan - I ask as you might be on the ball with these things, is there any benefit or not by using 720 instead of 1080 but with a higher frame per sec rate. Will it improve quality or just allow for better slow mo?

Everything is set to std so might need to adjust the exposure for the lanes as tree lines are normally a bit darker, but all learning. I will never compete with the great Sven, but I will record the E Sussex lanes to start with.

When I asked about changing ISP I was told I was near the end of the line and quite a distance from the exchange, so not much point. It might have changed since though?????????????????

What software do you use for your videos?? I just have windows movie maker that came with the laptop. Also do you load to youtube direct from movie maker or save then go to youtube and upload? does it make a difference?

I seem to have lost some sound track of my little Honda commuter

With the exchange being miles away i would ask for fibre optic :)

I use moviemaker too its the easiest to use IMO i upload direct to youtube. If you save then upload it still takes the same amount of time....

Its a learning process.......... :?

First is to CLEAN the lens at the start and end of each lane!!!
Next camera mount...sort a decent place not on the rubber indicator mount#
Next get the angle right for a bit more ground
Next will be to set exposure to suite condition
Then add mic and do some chatting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask for fibre optic
We are in the highly advanced and well supported south east. So broadband comes through water filled cables made up of broken bits of copper.
We get fibre optic to our village 'green box' late next year. Will still be on cable for the last quarter mile or so.
We're lucky to get just over 2Mb download and 350kb upload at the moment.
