I rode along Castlegate Lane, Great Longstone yesterday and saw temporary barriers and a Road Closed sign across the Western end of Cherpit Lane.

Couldn't see any TRO reference when searching this forum, does anyone know what's going on?

We were out there yesterday, the Council have done extensive work on there, its now flat and quite smooth, cant see them shutting it any time soon as they have spent money on the repairs.

You don't actualy think it's been repaired for vehicle users, do you?

They proberbly want it in pristeen condition for other user groups, when vehicles are banned.

Just think, when they've got rid of us pesky bikers, the 4x4s, cyclists & the horse riders there will be so much spare cash around from not fighting to ban us they'll be able to block pave entire routes!

And then they can put up street lights and cut down all those scruffy trees and bushes and plant some nice privet hedges along it or some nice flowers in tubs....

And make it look just like the suburbs where the NIMBYs moved from in the first place
