ANSWER -
You can buy the kit to remove the Air Intake System from Manchester Xtreme, @£30, its basically 2 bungs and a cover that remove a system put on by Yamaha to please the American emission laws, it serves absolutly no purpose but to starve the bike of air, since its removal the bike has run like and a dream and never bike fired since. Have a look on Youtube for 2007 models onwards.


Does anyone know where I can get an AIS removal kit for my WR250F in the UK?

It backfires most times when I shut off, especially when warm and this kit will stop it, its basiclly removing pipes that are put on for US emissions

Could it be the hot start sticking slightly open? My wr had similar symptoms and was cured by a good clean and lube.
