That's fantastic news. A credit to Mike and Richard.

This looks like its the start of the Revolution to come.

It just goes to show it was well worth your determined effort and hard work and of course all those that have supported you.

You can certainly count me in for further support and help if needed.

Don't forget that the Grauniad was the paper that published Hattersley's ignorant rant about "off-roaders" after the TRF won the Chertpit Lane PI at Great Longstone.

The failed to print any of the responses that went in so no hope for any sense there. They are away with the fairies.

Well done to Mike and Richard,
What a well organised event and although work stopped me getting out on the trails, I still made the meeting (all be-it in a bright yellow van with two dogs (pets not women)) and enjoyed the sight of so many trail riders.
They certainly seemed shocked at the National Park Offices at the number of motorcycles that turned up.
well done to all the managed to get a pass for the day, great effort.

Cheers Coops

I've a sneaky suspicion that the 100+ TRF demonstrators on low impact trailbikes caused less pressure on the environment than the (maybe?) 100 (probably much less) anti's that turned up for the FOTPD rally in cars.

You might find one here

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ridgeriders-Son ... B00005KAP9

Soundtrack to a TV series that I never saw, but which featured the TRF and some green lanes.

Chorus
I'm aTrail Biker. i'm a trail Biker, from Manchester way,
I get all my pleasure the hard moorland way;
i may be a wage slave on Monday,
But i am a free man on Sunday.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

The song was really meant for us but they didn't know it at the time ;) ;) ;)

Adapted from the song by Ewan MacColl ......."the Manchester Rambler" as sung by Mike "I've been Trf'd" Harding at Tuesday's ceremony.

Mike and Richard - you are a credit to the TRF. Well done. Great organisation - everyone seemed to have a great day, we got the opportunity to talk to some of the people who don't like us and there was some half decent press coverage and publicity. Even the weather was fine - don't know how you managed that in the midst of all this rain.
Thanks to you and all the riders who took the time and trouble to turn up - not easy on a work day for most of you - and for showing the TRF in a fine light.

Jack

Clarkson once summed Hattersley up well on top gear
