Yes you can enter each individually
No compulsion to enter the whole series, in fact they are a series of independently run events with different organisers. The RallyMoto club organises the series by piggy backing on the events and has negotiated with the different organisers to fix a set of common classes.
In fact due to various circumstances my first race of the year is not going to be until the Ryedale Rally in July
A single day rally (Brechfa, Pike Peaks, Hafren) usually costs about £65 to enter.
A two day rally (Kielder, Border, Ryedale, Beacons, Cambrian) will cost about £130-£150
A one event ACU Licence costs £10 (An annual licence is £45)
All you need on top of that is for your bike to be in good condition to get through scrutineering (What they usually check is that brakes work, wheel/head bearings are tight, foot pegs fold and return, all spokes are tight and the throttle shuts off OK).
Your helmet must have a ACU sticker and you are recommended to wear all the usual protective gear, I started off with the same kit I wore for trail riding and that was fine for starters
Apart from that the costs are getting to and from the event (Van, Trailer or ride) the cost of fuel for the event itself, food and accommodation if staying over. Many save on this by kipping in vans, back of cars, tents (or on the one day events, get up really, really early).
All I can say is JUST DO IT! you will enjoy yourselves.
