Just to let everybody know there is a Temporary TRO at Pilsley from 12 March 2012 to I think 24 April 2012.
This is to allow for tree felling and resurfacing (tarmacing) the trail.
They are using the chippings dug up while resurfacing the main road.

There were TRO sign, Road Closed boards and barriers up so we did not use the trail on Fridays ride.

Just an aside if Andy has a quiet word with the right people perhaps the Donkey track could be sorted and made into a dual carriageway.

You mean Bradley Lane, Pilsley I assume?

I passed by on Thursday and saw the notices myself. I'll post a copy if I get a few minutes later.

It's until 24th of April or sumit i think (I'll check that).

Watch this space.

Cheers

Richard

Just for the record I walked this lane a few days ago (after the PDNPA meeting) and it's open and in excellent condition. Very well repiared, in fact some might say santitised, but from experience elsewhere I'd say it will naturalise quickly enough.

Proof again (like School lane) that if the highway authority (DCC) do their job these lanes acan easily be kept in good order. In fact If it wasn't for a couple low branches hanging in from the sides I would have happily driven the lane in my Skoda. If any body knows what the lane used to like they will understand what a transformation that represents!

Cheers

Richard
