I went up yesterday, still legal to ride. Have to turn around at the bottom though.

Last time I was there it had a "no motors" TRO sign at one end which suggests that it is closed to all motor vehicles.

However, it didn't have a sign at the other end so I don't know.

It wasn't a "no entry" or a "one way" sign though it was a "no motor vehicles sign" so like I say, this suggests that it is closed. Whether any order would be enforcable with only one sign is another matter all together of course. I assumed it was closed and didn't ride it.

If anyone actually wants to know it would be easy enough to contact the highway authority and find out.

Regards

Richard

Richard: You tried to enter the lane from the car park at the bottom of Winnets pass, ride up Winnets and turn right few yards down the road on the right hand side turn right (Sign posted Blue John cavern) follow the road all the way to the pus turnpike go through the gate infront of you and hey presto. No TRO signs or anything, the end you tryed to enter from is access only to the farm.

Paddy

Thanks Paddy, like I said I know there's only a sign at one end and I have ridden it in the past (and don't remember seeing a sign at the other end) so it was a bit confusing.

it is an interesting bit of road for sure but as it isn't actually a green lane I didn't bother looking into it any further.

Be interested in th eoutcome though because it was quite entertaining ;)
