Errm, I detect the whiff of a slick Austrian marketing campaign myself but who cares, nice pictures anyway.

ME too....a proper fan site would have pics of middle age blokes covered in mud pocking about the Freeride with a screwdriver and covering it with pasty crumbs ;)

For goodness sake, don't get me on about DRZs. This thread would go on forever.

Thanks for that, John-Paul. I never see them advertised as EXC-GS. Is there another way of telling or have I just not seen any when I've been looking?

Most are advertised as 200's and the autolube isn't always mentioned!

Easy to spot though - oil tank visible behind right rad shroud.

earlier models are more trail orientated with softer suspension - 01/02 models are basically the same as EXC models with only difference being the autolube and different reed block/jetting.

Thanks again J-P. I will keep my eyes open. My wife has to return to work at the end of maternity leave first, but I'll have later on in the year. It'll be as good as a Freeride for the money.

My missus went back to work 6 weeks after giving birth (has her own dance school). They're quite capable of hard graft post partum ;)

Mine's a teacher & going to take a year off. I have a 2 year old daughter too & she wants to spend more time with her while she can. It's better than mother-in-law childcare. My KTM can wait a few more months. Looking forward to the wife riding the Serow on the lanes with me. It'll be worth the wait

They will be £6095 plus the on the road charges,

We do know that they will be in short supply we will only get 2 maybe 3 bikes this year!

Hopefully we will know more in the next few weeks, Or keep a eye on www.ktm.com
