Hello,

Sorry for my dumb question, but I'm new here. So can I use the public footpaths legally with trailbike?

Thanks!

The best bet would be to join your local TRF club as they will show you the ropes.

Yes, you can use Byways Open to All Traffic (marked on OS maps like so: +-+-+) and most Unclassified County Roads.

that is providing they have not been subject to a Traffic Regulation Order.

Footpaths, bridleways and Restricted byways generally do not have vehicular rights: but some routes are wrongly 'signed' on the ground.

You local TRF Group (which I think would be Wiltshire) will welcome you and explain more.

But you are on the edge of the best trail riding county in England.

I think your local trf group will be Somerset. Cheers.

Hi

Depending on where in Bath you are, your nearest group could be in Broughton Gifford. We have a few members from the Bath area.

If you fancy a run out around Bath let me know, most of the byways I know around Bath are to the south so we can meet up in the Wellow area.
