Hello Fellows,

Just to introduce myself and say hello to you all.

I have been riding motorcycles since early 1980's, passing my test in 1985.

My dad is a motorcyclist, so for me biking is in the blood.

I have owned and ridden many bikes over the years starting on a Yamaha TY50, RD350 YPVS, Honda 400 Super Dream, Yamaha FZS600 Fazer, Honda VTR1000 Fire Storm, Aprilia Pegaso 650 (Rotax 655), Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS, Ducati 1098s and my current bike - BMW R1200GS Adventure - 2010 model.

In addition to my GSA, I am searching for a 4-Stroke lightweight bike and some like-minded buddies to ride and explore some trails / boats (I like sailing and boats, hence my username).

The sort of bike I'm searching will be 400cc - 650cc (400 - 450cc preferably) a Honda XR, KTM EXC, Husky and perhaps a Suzuki DRZ - I am informed by others the DRZ is a good, strong, bombproof and cheap all rounder but having said that I find it least appealing of the bunch.

I reside near Chichester, West Sussex and would like to join a local group for rides when I buy another bike.

Re; trails and boats in my local area - I don't think there are many if at all, so where are the legal trails :?:

I am not in to racing or tearing up the countryside, I just want the freedom to explore trails / boats at a leisurely pace with some friends (if possible). I respect every individuals rights, rights of way, whether a rambler, horse rider or 4x4 enthusiast etc and their opinions whether I agree with them or not, however I expect the sentiment to be mutually reciprocated.

Regards,

Richard.

Hi Boat...

I am relatively new to the trails too, and after a false start on an HD MT350  I have got a CCM 404e and its    DRZ motor with WP (KTM) suspension, was out today for my second off tarmc outing on it, and had a ball. They don't fetch big money, so maybe one to consider!

Sorry don't know your area, but sure the local TRF'rs will show you where you can go.
