The Isle of Wight group will be having a meeting on 5th Jan 2011 at the Eight Bells , Newport.
IW. 8pm. All welcome. Only 8 TRF members at present on Island !

Just as a comparison , might be why we are low on numbers ? From research into IW Council .

" The Council manages the most concentrated network of public rights of way in the UK. Within 38 000
hectares ( 147 square miles ) there are 520 miles of rights of way which include 326 miles of footpath
, 165 miles of bridleways and 29 miles of BYWAYS , this equates to 3.5 miles of rights of way per
square mile "

Thats about 0.2 miles per sq mile to us .Minus what byways they have now restricted for Winter !

Hi All

I live in Southsea but have family on the Isle of Wight making it an easy place to get to and stay. I would be keen to come over the next time a ride out is organised if newbie's are welcome?

I made use of this site in December when I was last there http://www.wight-cam.co.uk/WightCAM/HTM ... pIndex.htm

Cheers

Gavin
