Let us know how you get on Richy as I say it's quite steep for someone new to trail riding on a GS1200, I have been riding it for about twentyfive years on all sorts of bikes so I think I'm qualified to advise ;)

I know I'm replying to an old post, but I've just joined after chatting to the TRF guys at the NEC (really helpful and friendly people).

The lane in question was my first off road ride on my KTM 990. As has been said going towards Buxton is easier, the steep bit near the end was thought provoking. Though I did do it in both direction, and fell off 3 times!
