Can any of the admin give me an update on how this forum is supposed to work re posting up images of rides and stuff. :?:
It is about as easy as trying to plait fog....

I am not sure of the whether members can post to many forums anymore either as many 'boards' in the members area have no ability to add new posts??...are we to continue or not??

I have no wish to make Mr Zuckerberg any richer but it looks as if the TRF forum is going to lose my input too.....so another annoyed member to add to the list and a little bit more local knowledge lost or made incredibly harder to access.

You can post it up but it'll have to be in a board which is still open. Eg the bar or your local groups sub section. The page for run reports is closed to new posts. No doubt all pending the new eagerly awaited long overdue relaunched members only forum.

If I upload from tap talk I use the medium setting.

It seems on the main web page when you upload photos they're annoyingly massive!

I found Tapatalk massively irritating have wiped it after a couple of weeks.
It doesn't help that Photobucket have committed commercial suicide so other image handlers are needed.
You need an IMG file of your photo and, in theory, that should translate to a size that fits the forum.
I really home the eventual new forum will allow either automatic resizing or, at least, reasonable thumbnails.

How did you find it irritating. I think it's quite a thing and saves keep logging in and out and it's all there on your phone.

Funnily that photos of any size in Tapatalk don't pose an issue but when you view on the web some are massive.

All is good for wherever you want to post a ride or report, plenty of options available, so please use.

The draw back is the photo sizing, folks are so used to somebody else doing it for you, so unless to resize them yourself its a pain to view via your computer no photobucket are not playing ball.

I find tapatalk easy on the phone

Best to keep posting, a report is always nice to read as well as a planned rideout to get folks excited.

This is what I do now.

1. Right click on the icon for the image and choose open with Microsoft Office
2. Select the "edit pictures" tab
3. Under "change picture size" - on the right about 1/2 way down, select "resize"
4. Select the % of original width and height button.
5. Wind it down until the new image size is about 700 x 500
6. Save and then upload in the post using the Choose file - add file - place in line options.

Hope that helps.

Steve

You can also resize in paint by same method as above.
