Can anyone update me on the current situation of using Barmouth Bridge on a motorcycle please.

It was all ok in May.
And 99% of walkers on the bridge loved watching us ride over in a sedate and polite manner but two old duffers and a group of cyclists didn't.

All good at the moment.
The council stopped collecting the toll a couple of years ago as it was costing more to collect than it was making. It then tried to close it to all users’ due to upkeep costs but there was a massive online petition against this and it did not happen. The signs showing the motorcycle toll at the collection office has now disappeared but I guess the right still remains. There is a real need to ride slow and courteously to avoid causing complaints.
Enjoy

Thank you for the replies.
I have ridden across it some years ago without difficulty on an XR250.
I shall be in the area in early September riding an 800 Triumph Tiger,
I know the access at the Barmouth end is ok, what's it like at the other end for this type of bike?
Thank you

There is a narrow gate but the same width as the old toll booth. The exit is tarmaced but had some low sand drifts across.

Well we rode across a couple of weeks ago with no problem. We took it slowly and were courteous to other users.
We were a group of five, two Tiger 800s and three KTM Adventures .
After that we rode to Lake Vrynwy and had coffee and refreshments at The Lake Vrynwy Hotel, Recomended.
