The first date for ACU Clerk of Course training has come up.

10AM Saturday 15th July at ACU House Rugby - Lunch is provided.
My understanding is that following this you will hold a national CoC qualification for a Trials course.

I am awaiting confirmation that TRF members can attend, as normally a regional CoC qualification is expected- however, this does not really apply to the TRF.

I will continue to chase for enduro Coc.

Let me know if you are interested.

Future dates seem to be posted on here; https://www.acu.org.uk/events/default.aspx

Next course will be in November.
Can we start to get a list of names and dates free in November?

I would be interested, if we get a CofC certificate for running events especially Observed Trials competitions

What is the cost to members?

i would be interested to know why the TRF are promoting ACU COC training?

are we preparing for the time when we will only be able to trail ride on public roads if as part of an organised event run under ACU rules.

I wouldn't say they were promoting it. Just offering it to those who are interested.
I think as part of the ongoing ACU affiliation and it's just something that's come up.
By having an acu affiliation and qualified CoCs maybe the trf can organise their events under the acu duristiction and this will make insurance etc a bit easier to obtain as it will be a formal acu event run under laid down rules and guidelines. It may also give us RTA cover for things like treasure hunts, scatter trials etc where some motor insurers might consider these competitive and therefore exclude them under your own insurance.

The CoC qualification will show that event organisers know what their doing and that any events/fundays or whatever are being run in accordance to proven rules and safety standards.

Also being a CoC qualified member you can help out at other clubs events and therefore promote the trf to riders of these clubs who maybe have an altered perception as to who we are and what we are about.

Just my view but it all sounds like a good idea and either way has no down side.

Does that mean it would relate to Long Distance Trials?
If so, there is a value to the TRF if we ran one rather than a local motorcycle club.

I'd be interested in doing the CofC course and getting the appropriate certification and qualification
