I'm hoping I've managed to post a link to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team Facebook page.

There is a great piece praising the LOCAL Trail Riders Fellowship groups and individuals who donated funds to replace the stolen generator.
I would again like to add my thanks to all the local groups and individuals who supported this endeavour, I'm not going to name the individuals or LOCAL groups, they know who they are and, like myself did not do it for self promotion. However it's great to know that the wider community are able to take note of the generous nature of trail riders as part of the wider 'outdoor' community.
On a personal note I am deeply proud of the groups and individuals who gave so generously to a cause so worthy, a massive thank you guys & lets hope none of you ever need their help ;-)

Well done guys. An excellent response but what can you say about the low lifecthat would steal the generator in the first place.

It's a shame the other 29 viewers of the post couldn't voice their support.

Nice one, all concerned, as someone who has spent quality time in the Lakes, I've seen first hand just how valuable a service MRT's provide.

Good effort there.

You can only wonder at the type of person who would nick a generator from Mountain Rescue...

Just to clarify, by 'local' groups I mean regional groups. The groups who donated were from across the country and not just local to Patterdale. Sorry for any confusion.
