2004 Bluey with Kicker and Electric Start. 14,546 miles on the clock, but rebuilt engine.

I have taken over at totallyttrs from Brian Sussex and as part of the hand over Brian promised to show me how to do a full rebuild on a TTR

As this was my very first totallyttrs rebuild and as I had Brian to guide me through the process, I was determined to make sure everything that needed doing, would be done.

The work undertaken.

Full strip down

Powder coat the Frame metallic blue, just like the original

Engine work - New piston, re-bore barrel, Crankshaft replaced, oil pump replaced.

New clutch plates and pressure plate, new clutch springs and metal plates replaced.

Valves lapped in, ports cleaned, shims checked for clearances and replaced.

New cam chain.

Carb work - Clean up, new Diaphragm and seals fitted and new carb bowel gasket fitted.

Starter motor, new brush set fitted.

New top shock Bearing kit fitted.

Complete bearing replacement all round, swing arm / wheels / linkeage, the only ones I did not do was the headstock, but they were checked and re-greased.

Brand new plastics all round, new headlight, new tank decals and new Brush guards.

Seat recovered with Gripper black seat.

Full loom check and clean up.

New front sprocket and good rear sprocket, set up for green laning, very good chain fitted.

New rear Mudflap.

Very good MT43's fitted with rim locks.

New battery.

New brake pads Front and Back.

Trick bits fitted to this bike

Motad full stainless steel exhaust, Stainless steel shorty header. These combined with the first oversize piston, really gives this bike the grin factor And you will never have a rusty exhaust again!

Wide stainless steel footpegs, they feel so nice.

New Bash plate.

New frame guards.

Tail tidy, with new number plate light.

Mot Until January.

BAD Points NONE - This really feels & looks like a brand new bike!I Have run the bike in for 201 miles, nice and slow, I will change the filter and replace the oil with fresh, for the new owner.

£2,700
Any inspection welcome.
I am in Devon. Phone 07979376937 Happy to have a chat about the bike. Steve

Awesome job on the TTR Steve. Brian is a great guy and really knows these bikes incredibly well. You've exceeded yourself sir. I hope you both had a fantastic time doing the work and that this cracking little bike finds a good new home soon.

Good luck to you buddy and see you again at totally ttrs when I next need a few bits for my WRR.

Paul.
