I am not sure how this years AGM is going to work........we might need to book in in advance by virtual tickets etc rather than just attend??

Anyway, it clashes, I guess out of design with Motorcycle Live also at the NEC

So who's going? arrange lifts here and anuthing else you might want to know.

For me I do not like the clash, as cant do both in the same day.

Over to you.

Quite difficult to do the show and the agm on the same day. Takes me the best part of a day to get around the show.

Greetings,

I intend to attend the AGM and I request that all other like minded Members do too.

I consider that this AGM will be critical to the future of the TRF.

i also consider it vital that as many members as possible go to the AGM.

Before going read the reports from the directors....and tell them what you think by voting for them.( or not )

reds idea of registration seems sensible as there is a minimum number needed to convene an agm that complies with standing orders,i think 75 was mentioned,if there are not 75 members present then the agm cannot take place I for one have no intention of driving 450 mile round trip ,spending my only day of work and not riding motorbikes to attend a non event

I am not aware of how those wanting to go to the AGM will be required to make their attendance acceptable

We await to be advised as to procedure so we can arrange attendance.

Maybe sort out lifts and pick ups on here so as many can attend as who want to.

May get the 75 members needed for the Quorum by busing in or free ticket b??????.
Interesting the number of reduced price tickets being offered.
If not 75 present then a waste of time as nothing can be decided.
But just remember that proxy voting will probably stop the changes we need to ensure an effective and well run organisation.

Greetings,

If I might interject I think that Proxy Votes are fine provided that the person casting them accurately represents the wishes of those being represented and not just the aspirations of the named person voting. A difficult thing to do sometimes in the heat of debate.

Those casting the votes are in a position of trust, it is the substance of the issue not the person presenting it that in question.

A couple of years ago I was given the privilege of representing others at the AGM through their proxy vote.
Much against my desires I voted in the way that people had asked me to as I had asked them to show a preference where they had one.
Not sure this was the case with everybody as I got the impression that some people had been persuaded to sign a proxy form without putting down any preferences.
I agree with the idea of proxy voting but don't think it should be left to the proxy to decide where the vote goes.
