Glad you have seen the light Mike  But I thought you were very used to being kept in the dark  .....

i have always seen the light Bill. Not sure its the right one though

its all in the projection .... how broad the beam is and whether or not its pointed in the right direction.

Lime light....this is interesting. it lights up the immediate area but blurs the image around the edges and the background is in an eerie shadow confused with smoke despite having the mirrors.

Acetylene.lights.......too young to remember them Bill didn't they fit them to Honda 230's

Lights on for me, trail and road, for the same reasons stated above.
But not main beam or mega LEDs, that pees me off as it is just blinding and has a reverse effect IMO.

Not sure why you wouldn't want them on - it hardly drags the power down that much.

No headlights on the trail = Tread lightly approach

Stealthy and leave no trace approach

Just like hateful noisy exhausts - headlights on the trail cause light pollution to other user groups

If you have gone past then your headlights won't been seen so you have left no trace :)
Agree re exhausts. I'd like to get mine quieter but it doesn't seem possible.

Greetings,

Having lived a previous life, kept in the dark and fed copious amounts of bull s**t , regrettably I am for headlights on if only because of the claim culture so prevalent.

I well remember 'Joe Lucas King of Darkness' lights and all things electrical 8-) , to be fair slightly better than Wipac  from the 60's and the outcry that we should ride with lights on so the idiot car drivers could see us.

To quote the inevitable comms director "there is light at the end of the tunnel", there was - it was a ruddy train :o

Hugh.

They do.
