Hi I'm a TRF member from South Wales visiting the Peak District this week and would love to go trail riding with someone who can show me some legal lanes!

Greetings,

Sorry mate but I can not help this nor next week as I have prior commitments that can not be altered.

Perhaps one of the others might be able to assist though

Alternatively if you can take a look on ViewRanger and search under Castleton area you will find a few routes that I have posted in the past and which you are very welcome to download.

We do not recommend riding the routes on your own for safety reasons and I can not be held responsible if any parts of the routes are no longer legal nor available because of TROs. Minninglow and Gallowlow Lanes plus Back Ecton have a voluntary request restriction that you do not ride them. Derby Lane, near Moneyash is open for motorcycle use but please keep near to the field wall and be aware of wet ground adjacent to one of the field gates (the one that is hinged onto a stoop stone).

The vast majority of the folk that you are likely to meet are most pleasant and if you keep to the TRF's code and acknowledge the local farmers I have found that they are very willing to provide guidance.

TTFN

Hugh.

I may be able to help if you can manage my sedate pace. What day are you thinking of and if you're staying over where will it be?

Hi Guys. Thanks for the responses, I'm in Wormhill and have had problems with Internet access so was not able to get back to you sooner! Alan Gilmore had said he could take me out but he's had problems getting a gearbox sprocket for his bike this week! The weather is not great either but it would be nice to get the bike out and find a few lanes. My only options now are this afternoon or tomorrow morning but I'm going to be back in a couple of weeks so will have more time then.

Hi Guys. I'm back up in the Peak District next week so if anyone is able to show me round a few trails I would be very grateful.

Sorry it's this Saturday 30th April, but if you contact our chairman Phil details on contact page, let him have your phone number and if there is a ride the following weekend he should be able to put you on it, though many of our members are I think on 2Yams multi-day ride that weekend.

Hi Peter,
I could possibly come up early, perhaps Friday evening. Where and what time is the ride starting please?
Regards
Fraser
