Which are listed as Goretex. I noticed that some listed use Goretex in the title but then say they are MVP. Buyer beware!

MVP ,moisture ,vapour ,permeable... It's what the army call Goretex...

And yes that's the one (in your link) they appear to be going up..as ever...also buy new, second hand ones are often no longer waterproof, as people wash the crap out of them...I only wash mine in a leap year...

oddly never used them for offroad but can vouch for the dickies raintite gear for waterproofness and also comfort when riding, i used them for a few years on my daily commute and always kept me dry plus easy to wear over gear, the material is light and feels more rubber than the usual waterproof over gear so harder wearing and also you grip to the seat, cheap(ish) also...

Jacket > http://www.dickiesstore.co.uk/product/W ... ite-jacket
Pants > http://www.dickiesstore.co.uk/product/W ... f-trousers

Am actually going to dig these out of the shed now and pack them for trail riding, the Klim gear i own is definitely not waterproof ! :|

It's not bulky as such, just high, as its not intended to work with a crash helmet.
For the quality, it's worth the minor hassle.
It was sub zero last Saturday and, with a thin neck warmer, I was as snug as bug.
No draughts :D

In the old TRF days we used to wrap a thin hand towel or tea towel, around our necks (scarf fashion) & this kept the high collar from clashing with your helmet & also kept any water from your neck area

Works well, surprisingly

Yeah their stuff (Dickies) is good, however.. It will not breathe like the army Goretex ones,so you may get very sweaty in them... Same price as the army stuff though.. Which makes the choice even harder...

So this is what I went with

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Grade-1-Origi ... Sw7ThUdFbO

First impressions are that it seems pretty good quality and although it does not actually say Gortex on it, i suspect it is the real thing. Comes up pretty big, but assume they were used over a uniform but even so if you do go for one might want to go for a chest size smaller.

Material looks pretty strong and has elasticated in coughs to keep water out. The only potential issue might be the high collar with the helmet. Unlined shell garment so will need layers underneath.

Most of the ones of eBay are used and how used will vary from jacket to jacket. But for £40 delivered i think it is pretty good.

Very similar to my RAF one but without the reflective armbands.
You could always cut the hood out.
It's winter gear really so anything that keeps the wind off your neck helps.

Although mine was supposed to be used, both jacket and trousers were brand spanking new :)
The trousers will get rot first ride out anyway.

I would have gone for the darker blue Royal Navy stuff but they didn't have any at the time.
