I was just thinking where do you all wash your bike ? Especially when it's really muddy. I just use the lawn that then turns into a quagmire. Then after a few days I rake up the mud that is left.

Greetings,

I simply call into the lower garage power wash on the way home, give the bike a good rinse off to save the garage (which adjoins the house) from smelling like a farm yard briar

The bike gets aired; the petrol switched off and carb run dry before being put away. I spray the bike all over with WD40 type fluid and connect up the Optimate battery charger. I top up the petrol tank with a small quantity of premix two stroke to try and offset possible corrosion on the inside of the metal petrol tank of the Serow, the Beta is a plastic one.

Then I can go and have my shower too.

Later in the week the bike gets a thorough check over and service as required so that it is ready for my next ride out to chase worms :? (I often come second  )

TTFN

Hugh.

I climb up on the roof with nothing on except my Tomohawk strapped to my right buttock.I then light a fire with two sticks and a damp sponge. Then do a tribal rain dance,of which I have still not perfected as I keep falling off and have all ready scraped my private areas four times. Not funny I can tell you.
Especially when it still doesn't rain.

Joe have you been smoking something odd again ? Or is it just me ?

I guess it depends if you have someone at home to wash it out of sight.

Best to take it to the local garage and get the worst off. Less mess at home

Morrisons jet wash on the way home. Do myself too after a muddy day! This tends to cause a few interesting looks from sneaky observers!

Full strip down after every ride or it will not fit in the dishwasher, always use the eco program to avoid temperature damage to the plastics and Finish dishwasher tablets to keep the headlamp glass sparkle Don't forget the Calgon down the exhaust on every third clean.

Joel, you are becoming one of these southern softies (I thought the real you would eventually come out).
I would have thought you could have found her enough work to do so that she didn't have enough time for this. It won't be long before you are calling her SWMBO
