I'm now an owner of a rather nice 2003 Suzuki DRZ400E which I plan to use for Green Lanes, knowing what a minefield buying tyres can be does anyone have any suggestions, recommendations for a good fitment for this bike.
I'm based in Herts and will need to do some road work between trails.

Thanks in advance :-)

Depends on what your looking to do, but if it's mainly for lanning just stick some Maxxis IT's on, great on the lanes good compromise for different surfaces and good road manners.

Hi I use the maxxis it on my ktm 250 and there grate but the drz is a lot heavier so on my drz I used Pirelli mt21 there a lot more suited for heavier bikes

I used the maxis on the ktm 690, fully loaded with camping gear, for a 4 day trailride from Sussex to Wales. They performed very well and would be a good choice for a drz in Hampshire

I run ac10,s on my drzE. Find them well behaved on roads and a very capable off road tyre. But I don't load my bike up for week rides etc

MT21's are a decent tyre. Good on the road also.

I take it you don't ride it in the rain then? :)

Odd you say that.....i came off the other day on wet road.

Front end let go and I wasn't pushing hard....so I am now in a frame of mind to look at other tyres..
