Great pleasure for us to be there Phil.

It was winter so we vanned the 690's up a bit closer but both Tony and i would have used our GSA's and ridden up from Cambridge except for the weather and early nights .

Adventure Biking is the Trail riding of the future and Peter "thunder" Thorpe shows us with his Tennere ( and the right tyres) that any adventure type bike is suitable and you don't need specialist equipment.

Next infringement will be a yellow card for you Joel. No "e" on the end of my name.

I think Phil is slowing down must be the exhaustion of leading and having to open a couple of gates. Had a couple of lanes where I had to keep braking to stay behind, but when it came to the technical bits Phil's experience told and he was way out in front again, that's why he had to open gates it was too long to wait for the next rider to catch up.
