And signing is a major problem. The uneducated ski pole wielders automatically assume we are riding on a footpath if the lane isn't sign posted as a byway.
They all seem to have OS maps, but have a mental block when confronted by this - +-+-+-+-+-+-+ on a Landranger
Or ++++++++++ on a Pathfinder.
As for an ORPA, or UCR, or RUPP, or UUCR, or RB, or ETRO, or TRO, or PTRO- no chance.

No problems with signage in the Isle of Man. :D

Will anyone be attending this public inquiry on October 21st?

Steve,

At present it is my intention to attend pending family commitments.

Hugh.

Black Harry Lane is clearly signposted as a 'Public Road'.

How many years all together have you been riding this lane?

Hi, I'm a bit new to this so hope this message posts correctly!

I attended this inquiry today for the first few hours and then had to leave, I was the lad in the blue top sat in the middle. What I wanted to say was that along with you, Hugh, this was my first time at attending one of these inquiry's and only by chance that I was off work today. I thought you gave a really good speech and raised some good points as well as challenging some of the oppositions claims.

As I say, unfortunately I had to leave so would be grateful if someone could inform me how the rest of it went and of the decision if one was made today?

Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments.

Sorry we did not have time to chat, please introduce yourself to one of us in due course.

It was a full day and Alan Kind expertly guided us and presented the TRF's case.

The meeting ended today but we will not know the outcome until letters are officially sent out from the Planning Inspectorate. May I keep my thoughts to myself until that time.

TTFN

Hugh.
