With regard to Leys Lane the antis claimed excessive vehicle use and speed but the official figures provided from vehicle tracking by the PDNPA proved the statement to be inaccurate. Never the less the PDNPA still chose to implement the TRO :!:

Dan,

At present all I can say is that this item has not yet run its full course.

I will respond again after I receive my paperwork from the Planning Inspectorate. Just because the dog is sleeping does not mean that it is not listening ((a very old Liverpudlian proverb (wot I just made) up but I am sure you will get my jist))

TTFN

Hugh.

Having quickly scanned through the documents it's clear to me from the evidence that Black Harry Lane should be recorded as a BOAT.

The fact it's called 'Lane' is always a major point.
The enclosure evidence is VERY strong!
Historical mapping of double solid lines connected between well established roads depicted the same way is strong evidence.

Because the landowners have blocked the lane over the years doesn't 'prove anything' other than their desire to have exclusive use.

Here they refer to no vehicular rights blah blah but this is regarding a 1700s map?? Did we have vehicles then?

Anyway the amount of objections is ridiculous nobody really cares....

The most frustrating thing to me is the total number of those who submitted statements! as shown in this evenings email.

Folks,

As promised here is my update but it does not make for pleasant reading as Black Harry Lane is to be designated as a Bridleway.

The Inspector has considered all the evidence presented, gave everybody a fair chance to put their case, looked at the legal documents and even walked the lane in the pouring rain. He has decided that the lane should be designated as a Bridleway.

I guess that DCC now start their paperwork and eventually a couple of big burly lads will come along to erect a sign which will prevent our legal use of the facility, until then I intend to continue riding the lane :|

I honestly doubt that there is anything further that we can do at this stage other than to thank all those who submitted UEF.

TTFN

Hugh.
