Folks,

I've received notification that of 15 August Black Harry Lane has been made a bridleway by DCC!!!!!!!

I noticed that new laminated signs have been put up on the various wood posts when I rode past yesterday, so many that I thought the Queen had had another celebration :!:

Objections have to be made before 3 Oct 2013, please everybody send Email objections; quoting Case No: 19779 & DMMO No X2797 to; peter.jackson@derbyshire.gov.uk

No need for anything like a dissertation just record that you OBJECT to their action to downgrade the lane.

We must keep the pressure up or they will try to sneak even more through in conjunction with their PDNPA mates.

Hugh.

Update to include copies of paperwork, sorry they are not quite in order.

This is one of the PDNPA priority routes, has a process been fast tracked here?

It does beg the question as to whether their latest tactic is 'create confusion'......cos its working. :?

Folks,

I would be very upset  to loose this lane as it forms a nice link for me between; Cherpit Lane Little Longstone; Rowland over to Calver; left up Middleton Lane, Stoney Middleton onto Black Harry; down right to the A623 and second left towards Foolow, immediate right onto Tideswell Lane towards Eyam. It might even be on my run this coming Friday for our Peak District Event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Hugh.

Adding it to the DM as a bridlepath doesn't extinguish MPV rights.

The DM process can only be applied to ways that are of either public path or RB/BOAT in use and character.

Not had the pleasure of riding this route (yet). If it is a UCR then it's already been considered at least once as beyond the remit of the definitive map process.

The limitations on the scope to apply the DM process are to protect the ordinairy road network (wether tarmaced or unsurfaced) from downgrading.

Don't forget when making your objection to include your name and address in the e-mail as I understand anonymous objections are ignored. If you have not done this on your original objection then send in a second with these details and just state you may have left out your contact details previously.

Greetings folks,

Just in case you missed this one, PLEASE send your OBJECTION to the downgrading of Black Harry Lane quoting modification order 2013, case number 19779 and DMMO Number X2797.

It is important to state that you are OBJECTING to the closure and you must state your name and full address to; peter.jackson@derbyshire.gov.uk

Alternatively by post to;

John McElvaney

Act now, we may not save it but we must keep trying.

Hugh.
