Post subject:  Gap Road Powys

I’ve had a letter today from Powys CC. re U0549 the Gap Road, Breacon Beacons.(Prohibition of Driving)(Revocation)Order 201. It says, “The Committee decided to over rule the objections and make the revocation Order.”.

I’m a bit confused. Does this mean we can drive the Gap Road as the Prohibition as been revoked or we can’t we?

Post subject:  is it possible to turn a Restricted Byway back to a Byway

Question

Since Nerc collectivly turned all as yet unproccessed Rupps into Ristricted byways

Is there a mechanism in the legistration that allows for requesting that a restrictive byway be reclasified as a Byway (BOAT) ?
with TRO's as a means to close a byway (the permenant TRO effectivly turns it to a Restrictive byway

Im just wondering if there is a way to do this 1 lane at a time ?

seems odd that legaly it is a one way street with no legistration available to perform the opposite

maybe one of the rights of way officers could help me understand please

regards rob

AMESBURY WILTSHIRE = BYWAY 20 - VEHICLE ONLY TRO

http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/council/consultations/troconsultations/troconsultaionbyway20amesbury.htm

Closing date for objection is 20th June 2016. Online objections can be made at the above link.

Seems WCC has let a housing estate be built next to the byway (which has now become an inconveneince), after a long sucession of "temporary" TROs on this lane.

The order is to "preserve the character" of this byway, which has a solid concrete surface for most of its length! Previously it was an access road between green fields, so ironically, its the housing estate thats the real cultpit in destroying the character of the lane!
