Yeah I'm number 15, should see you on the start line!
I get the impression the entry might be quite small this year, due to it being Easter Sunday.

Good to meet you briefly at the start Graham. How was it for you? Great day of riding for me just the majority of the sections proved to be too big for the XL. Definitely one for the Pamperas and Beta Alps. Just waiting for the results now.

haha - the problem with having a Pampera modified for LDTs is that I can't blame the bike, only the rider!

This year's Clerk of the Course decided to revert to the event's historic format of mainly natural sections (hence fewer man-made sections with Pampera-friendly tight turns in the woods), but most of them were well out of my league, I cleaned a handful and failed two or three, but for the rest I just seemed to be paddling over rocks for threes. Which was all a bit disheartening, but riding through the Wye valley, and the views of the snow-capped Sugar Loaf more than made up for it.

I spoke to him afterwards and he said the club had decided they didn't want to see any completely clean rounds this year.

Only positive I can see is that the XL125R and me out performed the other XLs (a 185s and 250s) and all the Yamaha Serrows.
