Post subject:  Right of Way Bank Lane - (corkscrew) near Jenkins Chapel

Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me for definite whether the Corkscrew is a legal right of way. For years I have assumed it is as I know cars did hill climb events etc on it. A local resident confronted a group of riders recently and told them they shouldn't be using it and the police have been informed. I've been and checked the signage and it states No Access. There is no other signs that I can see. I was going to use it again yesterday but I will wait until I know for sure.

Hi there!

It won't answer your question exactly, but i've made a post regarding this route in the Countryside Access Discussions part of the forum. From my knowledge, it appears that Cheshire CC are trying to stop up the route and close it to vehicles. The post is here:
