Hello John, welcome to the TRF.

I live over near Stockport so sorry I can not help you directly however if you get in touch with your local group then I am sure they could. All the groups are listed under the open forum page.

I am new to trail riding too and I joined the Manchester group, found them all very friendly and helpful, I am sure that the folks on your side of the hill will be too.

Remember to put a TRF sticker on your bike. On Friday whilst returning home from Bakewell on my own, filling up at Buxton I got invited on a ride to join a group of lads on their ride out, new friends and new lanes too.

Hugh.

Hi, John,

And welcome.

The Derbyshire & South Yorkshire group has members in the Doncaster area who will be able to help you find your way around. We mainly ride jn the Peak District but do organise rides east of Sheffield around Bawtry and Retford.

You are welcome to come over to our next meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of Feb, meeting location is near J30 M1, see the group details on this site.

If you also check out the East Yorks group, they may well be able to help as well.

Cheers,

Philip Spink
Secretary, Derbyshire & S Yorks group
