Hi could anyone point me in the right direction as to a quiet pipe for a KTM 520?? Or is the standered one the best im going to get?? Or is it worth getting the standered one repacked??

Thanks.

Me and a mate have both got 2002 EXC400s and both have standard exhausts.
My exhaust is reasonably new and is very quiet.
His hasnt been touched for 9 years and is deafening. He is either going to get it repacked or replace it with a new standard silencer.
If youre going to repack the silencer yourself - remember to wirebrush the holes in the centre baffle tube - they can get clogged with soot and this stops the sound wave from entering the wadding.

Try repack first.

If your still not happy with that you could possibly tone it down further by sourcing an old LC4 trail exhaust. These are made of steel and feel as though they are stuffed with lead! however they are incredibly quiet. I put one on my old 1994 LC4 350 - it's now like a Serow with ground clearance.
