as i dont have the courage - or money - to take my Tiger 955i off road or up lanes i am looking for something a lot lighter. Thinking of a CCM Ds 604 por 644 - any one had expereince of either, pros and cons?

anyone got anything they might like to convince me to buy, northants area but will travel 100+ miles for the right bike?
8-)

The older Rotax engined ones are reckoned to be better greenlane bikes, and cheaper to run.

But they are both quite hefty machines for green lanes: you either need to be a good rider or a strong person.

My mate 'jonesy' rides a 604 and has been thinking of selling his and getting something else, i could ask him how much he would sell it for if you want?

It doesn't feel any heavier than my 450X but it's a torquey beast :?

here's a pic of me riding it at a recent MX practice trackday i organised :D

Big bikes are fun dont get me wrong, but not always the best for trail riding.
Carried and pulled many of them, out of sticky situations.Hard work.
My own Suzy DR441 is heavy enough !
450cc or less is probably the best option.
You wont need 600cc of grunt, for trail riding.

Hi pal I have recently sold a TTR 600 BELGARDA The reason, way way to heavy at 153 kg so for me it would be a light weight 2T.
So I Got a Gas Gas ec 200 and what a difference to the way it lets you ride 103kg and you really notice it.
But like anything in life its all about opinions. So a light bike is the way to go aether 4T or 2T and I wouldn't go mad with cc keep it simple. ;)

Good luck with the search.
