Heated grips.

Hi folks. Went laning this morning on my little CRF250L. It was -5degC. I need heated grips :-)

What do you guys recommend? Make ? Cost? Where to wire them?

They fit under the grips.
You can buy on the net from a Co called.

Don't be tempted to the cheapo stuff on ebay.

I got the cheap ones off eBay , done me for a winter,no issues,there's a seller in Portugal who does the Enduro Engineering ones for £30 ,but agree Symtec are probably the best....what I have learned this year though is...Muffs are WAY warmer than heated grips,I have both (spoilt) but binned the muffs midday on a recent cold ride as I had ripped the shit out of one on a tree...my cheap heaters get plenty hot...but my hands were freezing on the roadwork....I will be getting some more muffs (mx gloves all year round)...

I have come up with a cheaper and way more comfortable solution.
As a sad old git, I decided that, from this winter, I'm not going to ride when it's under +3c and getting warmer or if it's absolutely chucking it down.
Been there and done that for the last 45 of my 62 years so it's time to stay comfortable and actually enjoy rather than endure.

Joel is right though, heated grips don't keep the back of your hands warm and brush guards are no real help.
Cutting out the wind chill is ideal but you might get ridiculed......until they realise you are probably right.
Still not keen myself though even though I gave up on credibility years ago.

I collected my new FJR1300 yesterday. It has heated grips. I did 150 miles. Weather peaked at 5degC. Heated grips amazing.

I've always used cheap ski gloves. Less than a fiver on eBay.
They do a great job.
