Hopefully 150 miles in the battery....otherwise not much use other than for sneaking up behind fascist ramblers

It needs a seat though.
I rather like the idea if it can do 150 miles. No more engines to maintain.

I reckon we could be another 10 years away from 150 miles. It only does an hour, doesn't it?

We are already 6 years down the road since the Tesla was launched and it doesn't seem to have moved on at all. In fact it has gone backwards really with hybrids taking over.

Electric mopeds are now viable, and getting better.

IoM has seen average speeds for a lap hit 109.6mph. Granted that means their batteries are flat in a lap at 20mins and 38 miles. But surely if bimbling at trail pace we'll be seeing things stretched soon.

My problem is that even if they get to 150. You can't just nip to a garage for an extra 20 miles play time. it's home to charge for the night.

Nice, at what point does something like this become a vehicle that requires all the paperwork associated with a motorbike. That could be amazing if it gave the buzz of a motorbike but was allowed on all the paths that cyclists are allowed on. Particularly if it had enough power to spray a bit of slop in ramblers' faces.

Edit: when it exceeds 15mph, weighs more than 40kg and when it does not have pedals and when it exceeds 200watts...hmm

Don't worry, the 'fun police' banned electric bikes long before they became viable.

Funny how you can get a grant to buy a (congestion-causing) electric car, but nothing for electric PTWs.
