Post subject:  Newbie to green laning in the Warwickshire area

Hi guys

Just wanted to say hi as I am new to green laning in this area and have not been on a bike for a few years. I must admit I am slightly nervous but looking forward to finding out where I can go etc. I have heard that there are a fair few lanes around the Tamworth/Atherstone area so can't wait to get out there.

If there is a local meeting etc and anyone has any details I would love to pop along to make sure I am not going anywhere I shouldn't.

Cheers

Welcome to the TRF Ziggy. I'm based just south of Leicester and do a route around Desford, Mallory, Atherstone and Twycross area....thats really 50 miles and half a day although we do an extended version called the Shitsville (sorry Coalville) loop.

Next time we're out that way I'll pm you.

Cheers

Thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it.

I would love to come down to Oxford but its a little far but I am down that way for work sometimes and keep a look out if you are meeting.

That would be awesome if you could let me know and I will definitely make time to venture out with you.

Thanks again and speak soon

Don't worry it's quite informal in Oxford just present yourself for parade at 19:30 sharp

No only joking, Bill Gaz does the most amazing south Northants ride outs, typically starting near Brackley and winding our way to Daventry/Northants area. There will be a few write ups in the next Oxtrf news letter out next week.

And if you can fit NOS to your bike (you will need it to keep up), we do a 'mid-week pensioner special' :o
