Hi does any body know if the 18 Tenera Wheel will replace the 17 XT600e wheel or any wheel which would do the job, only tyres are a problem in 17 not as many :?:

Hiya

The old Tenere wheels were drum brake so they won't fit, not sure if the new Tens wheel will fit.

I had a guy lace a new 18" rim onto my hub, not too expensive and works fine.

I'm assuming you have a later XT with disc brake but I'd do the same as Dan suggests, a new rim could be cheaper than a Tenere wheel anyway

I suppose you could buy a quality MX/ enduro rim, (it'll be tougher than another XT rim- good for rough stuff) cut out your spokes & loosely fix them in the wheel to get them pofessionally tuned. It would keep costs down, which seem to have gone through the roof since I did it.
