Evening..
Who do you gents insure with?
Ive just got a renewal quote of £1100... No bloody way am i paying that.. Quote from elephant.
Works out £110 cheaper to go buy a wr450 :S how do they work that out.
If theres any lads around my age 19, be good to know who you insure with and roughly how much you pay...

Assume you do mean a renewal.
Have you passed your test yet, insurance companies do not like young riders who do not take and pass their test in the first year. In their view the rider has not obtained the necessary skill and is therefore a higher risk.
I have just renewed my wife's car insurance and while talking to another company as premium had doubled it may be because your insurer has experienced a significant increase in claims in your area/postcode.
Use the web comparison sites, they normally come up with good deals if you are likely to get one.

Best quote my son had for his moped (at age 16) came from MCE Insurance.

As it happens it was mce that quoted 1100

Going for a 250 might be useful.

I am trying to insure my lad on his KLX125. He is about to do his CBT and is only 17. £2000 fully comp, £700 third party only..........bit of a shock

Its barmy mate. Ive not had a quote under £800 for third party fire and theft. Be funny to see what lexham quote me when they send me my renewal.

Well I'm 19 now, had my CBT for a year and am planning on doing my test before christmas. I'm riding a 1973 Honda SL125, not the average trail riders bike but I have good fun. I payed £350 third party only (it was the only option with my bike) from Carole Nash and that includes breakdown cover. Had some quotes for when I have passed by test, just assuming I have a DR350 or something similar, the quotes didn't change a lot. Some less than £350, some more.
