People ride allsorts, a guy rode with us on the Teeside and North Yorkshire Fun weekend on an early 80's XL125 with no problems and looked like he thoroughly enjoyed himself.

As long as its well maintained and reliable it should be fine for gentle greenlaning.

In my humble opinion, some people will tell you you need the latest £5k enduro bike and they can probably only ride it to a small percentage of its potential, bearing in mind that we should not be treating lanes as racetracks. Best to see how you get on with a run and try to ride some friendly group members bikes if you get a chance, before you spend loads of money.

Providing it's mechanically reliable it should be fine.

Make sure it's got decent tyres, brakes, chains and sprockets
