Bit of advice please:
My new '98 DR350 has just been delivered, and after a quick look round it seems to be in good nick for it's age.

I thinking of adding some oxford heated grips and a power socket. On my 990 these are wired direct to the battery, with in line fuses. Can I do the same on the DR?
The original hand guards look a bit flimsy, so I was thinking of Barkbusters or similar. Any suggestions?

It came fitted with: An arrow can with the db killer installed, so not to loud, a small rear rack and a larger fuel tank. Is there any other mods or additions I should consider making before hitting the mud?

Please bear in mind money is tight, I now have 3 hungry tanks to feed.

Always wire high load accessories direct to battery with a fuse as close to the battery as possible. But remember the consumables will always be live even with ignition off.
