Post subject: | crf 250l 13 tooth sprocket |
Morning all, I have recently fitted a 13 tooth sprocket(renthal) to my crf. It fitted straight on with no issues. But....the standard honda sprocket is slightly different-- it's got a rubber piece either side which appears to be some sort of spacer although it isn't worn and doesn't separate from the sprocket( bonded into place as far as I can tell). Anybody know what the rubbery bit is for? It doesn't appear to be important but if it is some sort of alignment/ spacer type thingy I would prefer to find out before the chain jumps off. Thanks. |

It was the same on the original dr350. It's that meet eu noise levels by dampening the chain noise. Or so they said back in 1999 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nothing to do with noise, they are supposed to reduce the hammering that the output shaft splines get, but in practice don't make much of a difference. |
