Whats to stop local TRF groups signposting routes?

Can't the TRF find away of working with councils to implement signage? Obviously councils are "skint", but their must be away of raising money in local groups for simple signage stating whether a lane is legal to ride. As mentioned information is public domain so why not sign post it?

Just a thought.

.....and a very valid one IMHO.
Better to have them signed properly so there are reduced chances of ignorance.

Easy to say when we only have a few lanes but you lucky guys with loads might take a tad longer.

I like the Surrey (and others?) idea of signs on each lane saying who or what can use them.
Much much clearer and reduces potential arguments from the ignorant.

The only concern I had in the past if somebody recorded a ride out I was leading is whether they would do the due diligence I had to ensure there had been no changes to the rows.
