Currently use Forcefield ProShirt which is really comfortable but gets a bit warm for the summer so am considering one of the "exoskeleton" ones for more breathability. Alpine Stars and Daniese both look promising - any experiences or other options worth considering £150-£200 mark

Hello

I am looking to go the other way.

I am looking for everything to be built into a shirt, to stop my elbow pads from slipping down. I have 'exoskeleton' body armour (with separate elbow pads) and I still get too hot.

I think it is all about getting the layers of clothing correct and the air flow around your body right. Which is much easier said than done, in our changeable climate.

Cheers

Peter

My £60 progrip one is still going strong after 15 years.
Did replace it with a £40 one from eBay this year but prefer to use the older one. As it's sorta mounded to my shape now. Mx top over it and normally sleeveless enduro jacket in the summer
Back protector, shoulders chest and elbows all contained in a net shirt.

Like you i still want an integrated shirt not separate elements just more vented than the Forcefield. I was looking at something like;

Or

I bit the bullet and bought the Leatt Air Fit soft armour a few weeks ago.
Worth every penny - fits like a glove, no hard panels and still felt good in wicking baselayer, armour and riding shirt on a very warm enduro training day on Saturday.
Ok, £220 but light years ahead of my old uncomfortable (for me) EVS mesh and plastic one.
You don't know you are wearing it after a few minutes.

Whilst soft may be a bit more comfortable, when I get a branch jab me in the chest Im glad I've got solid protection.

It's the soft armour that hardens on impact. not permanently soft.
That's why it's £220!!!!

Close fitting is better than cheap junk in a not cheap jacket that twists when you land on solid wet rock at 30mph - from personal experience and a severely scuffed elbow.

I know it's good but it's too pricey for me.
How does it fair up if you go down the black top with it on?
Still can't see it spreading a localised jab with a branch like the hard stuff but I'm sure they've done their research and development.

We had a sample once of the material or similar and if you placed it on a plate you could beat the hell out of it with a hammer without cracking the plate. Nobody was game enough to repeat the experiment with their head or hands!

One day but £45 compared to £220??? ImageImage

There was a guy on TV the other day with a his hand under a piece the same thickness as mx armour and he was hitting it with a hammer. Good enough for me.

Even soft, it takes an impact as well as the inbuilt rubbish in jackets and I really am also looking for all day comfort. If you aren't comfy, your're not concentrating.

That gear looks well priced. Anyone know somewhere in the South-West so I can go and try it on?
