Post subject: | Front brake issue |
Hi Anyone had this before I have a 2014 gas gas cami 250 My front brake was fine before the ride and been pulled half way back would be full lock but after a couple of hours riding it had to be pulled further and further back. Basically touching the bars. I got back washed the bike and checked the brake fluid level but it's fine. Recent new pads Next day moved the bike and noticed the brake lever movement was back to normal Any advise appreciated Cheers |

Did you drop the bike while you were out? In which case you might have got an air bubble in the system, however i've never experienced this and I've dropped plenty of bikes |

Greetings, it might have been a blocked breather to the master cylinder or as suggested an air bubble in the hydraulics, try bleeding the system and monitor the effects. TTFN Hugh |

You have Water and or air in the fluid. Change it with new. I change mine every 6-9mths. Ps dropped my bikes a thousand times and never got air in the brake fluid and never heard of anyone else who has either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It might also be worth changing the fluid in case it is water in the fluid. That gives the symptoms you describe as it turns to vapour with the heat of use. edit: Whoops - Smokinrider posted the same thing as I was writing this. I agree though; dropping the bike doesn't put air in the system |
